What are the basics of carbon fiber car audio modification wiring?

1. Selection of car audio wiring

(1) The smaller the resistance of the car audio wire, the less power is consumed on the wire, and the higher the system efficiency. Even if the wire is thick, the efficiency of the whole system cannot be achieved because the speaker itself will lose a certain amount of power.

(2) The smaller the wire resistance, the greater the damping coefficient; the greater the damping coefficient, the greater the redundant vibration of the speaker.

(3) The larger the cross-sectional area of the wire (the thicker), the smaller the resistance, the greater the allowable current value of the wire, and the greater the allowable output power.

(4) The choice of power insurance. The fuse box for the mains cable should be as close as possible to the car battery. The insured value can be determined according to the following formula:

Insurance value = (sum of total rated power of all power amplifiers in the system 2)/average value of vehicle power supply voltage

2. Wiring of the power cord

(1) The current capacity value of the selected power cord should be equal to or greater than the value of the fuse connected to the power amplifier. If you use a sub-standard wire as the power cord, it will generate humming noise and the sound quality will be severely compromised.

(2) When the power line is used to supply power to multiple power amplifiers separately, the wiring length and structure from the split point to each power amplifier should be the same. When the power lines are bridged, a potential difference is created between the power amplifiers, resulting in AC noise, which can seriously damage the sound quality. When the host is powered directly from the mains, it reduces noise and improves sound quality.

(3) Thoroughly remove the dust on the power (battery) connector and tighten the connector. If the power connector is dirty or not tightened, there will be contact resistance at the connector. The presence of contact resistance can cause humming noise, which can seriously impair sound quality. Use sandpaper and a fine knife to remove any dirt from the seams.

(4) When wiring is used for the vehicle power system, avoid wiring near the generator and ignition device. Generator noise and ignition noise can radiate into the power lines. When the factory-installed spark plugs and spark plug cables are replaced with high-performance ones, the ignition spark is stronger, which in turn is more prone to ignition noise.

(5) The principle to follow is the same for the inner power cable and the audio cable.

3. Wiring of audio signal lines

(1) Wrap the connector of the audio signal cable tightly with insulating tape to ensure insulation. When the joint comes into contact with the body, noise may be generated.

(2) The audio signal line is as short as possible. The longer the audio signal line, the more susceptible it is to interference from noise signals. Note: If the length of the audio signal cable cannot be shortened, the extra long section should be folded instead of rolled.

(3) The wiring of the audio signal line is at least 20 cm away from the power line that drives the computer unit and the power amplifier. If the wiring is too close, the audio signals that the wires can pick up can create induced noise. Separate audio signal and power cables on both sides of the driver's and passenger's seats. Note that when approaching the wiring of the power cord and the microcomputer unit, the audio signal lines must be more than 20 cm away from them. If the audio signal line and the power line need to cross, we recommend 90 cross.
